Après avoir été malade, Samuel Romilly se trouve bien mieux et remercie son correspondant de l'avoir entouré de son attention et de ses conseils (notamment celui de faire des excursions). Il transmet ses salutations à Mesdames Vernon, Fox, Okeden, Fitz Maurice, Garbet et Sophia ; il regrette de quitter Bowood si tôt et envoie une traduction de Tacite de Bernardo Davanzati (1529-1606) à Madame Fox "I think she will be satisfied with it.
