Deux intéressants manuscrits accompagnés d'une lettre du chimiste et physicien sud-africain Wolfgang Eugen Schilz, adressés à Henri Becquerel.

Schéma d'un anneau de 48 atomes de carbone et d'hydrogène. Daté et signé «Pretoria avril 1908» et titré «Reflections on the constitution of matter». 1 p. in-4.
Essai de classification atomique sous forme de tableau, également titré «Reflections on the constitution of matter», comprenant radium et thorium, daté et signé "April 1908. E. Schiltz". Au dos un schéma sous forme de spirale pour classer les atomes. 1 p. in-folio sur carton.
Une lettre autographe signée. Pretoria, 5 mai 1908. 4 pp. ½ in-8. Enveloppe conservée. Schilz explique ses théories. "Enclosed I beg to submit to your judgment some reflections on the constitution of matter which much deserved of the attention of the leaving chemists. Following this table of atomic-weights matter seems to consist of different stages of oxidation of 8 primary matters […]".
