"I have received your paper which I have read with much pleasure it containing very interesting details on an important manufacture ; I would however be happy to communicate any paper of yours to the Royal Society which I think would not be ordered to be presented by the council : and it is not our (?) to present papers unless they contain some experimental research or actuel discovery.
When your analysis of the (Renan ?) is finished I would be very glad to see it : as such an experimental esquiry would be well [...]. Permit me to returns yours, my thanks for your entertaining volume of Chemical essays [publié en 1815 en 5 volumes]. I would be glad to see you any Saturdays evenings [...]"
