«Having had the Honor to lay before the King, the Proceeding of a General Court Martial held at Gibraltar ont the 8th December 1800 and continued by adjournments to the 12th of the same month, for the Trial of Timothy May, a Private soldier in the 4th Royal Veteran Battalion, who was found guilty.» Jugé coupable, donc, du meurtre de William Kennan, il est condamné à mort. Mais : «His Majesty [...] has ordered that the said Timothy May be transported as a Felon to New South Wales for the term of his natural life.»
